Working Woman

I woke up this morning and got around to go to Bannockburn and meet Carla for lunchy. I am suprising myself at how well I am getting around here, I have recently been able to shut the good ole TomTom off. I made it to the church no problem and visited with Carla for a bit then we got Carla's friend Cathy and her daughter Caroline to go to lunch. We went to Chic-fil-a, a first for me even though we have them back home. It was really good but the cows haven't completely convinced me to eat only chicken. After we had finished we went to get some shaved ice which was delightful considering it was 98 degrees out. When we got to the stand, I knew this was not your ordinary shaved ice stand. They had over 100 flavors, including dill pickle...DILL PICKLE!!! I ended up getting strawberry daquiri and kiwi, it was delicious. We drove back to the chuch and then I left for home, I had to get ready for my first day at the station.

I got ready after much deliberation about my outfit and left around 3:30, and I was to be at the station at 5, but I was trying to beat traffic. Well I made it there with over an hour to spare. In light of that I decided to familiarize myself with downtown. I ventured to the Capitol building which is larger than the U.S. Capitol, snapped a quick picture, then grabbed a frap from Starbucks and sat inside to enjoy it. Clif called me and I headed to the station and made myh way to the sports department. My first day was rather uneventful but not bad at all. I logged 2 hours of the Astros vs. Rockies games and even got off an hour earlier!
